After three years of writing, editing, researching, imagining and banging my head against the wall, I have finally completed my master’s degree. And so, thousands of pages later, I would like to announce…
my return to the job market.
And let me tell you, it is depressing to be a part of the “worst job market in years,” which all those employed people on the TV and radio keep talking about. Instead of sitting by the pool while D.C. warms under high-80 temperatures, I’ve been couped up with my email, watching Lauren Conrad get interviewed on The View about her new novel, and wondering what words in my cover letter make me sound “hirable.”
Anyway, it was not my intention to rantingly blog about this, but I needed to post an update, and unfortunately my daily routine currently consists of: eating, working, resumes, stress eating, cover letters, eating, filling out applications in which all the info is already contained on my resume, and more stress eating.
So I promise dear readers: you are not missing out on any sexy, fun adventures. Unless you have a job opportunity that would create some for me. Actually, maybe that’s a bad idea…
